The usual: flashfloods, falling rocks, snakes, stinging things (wasps, spiders, caterpillars, nettles, etc)
The usual: helmet, tracing booties, waterproof bag, PFD, quick-dry synthetic clothes, food and water
Another very popular river trace for guided groups. No big, roped climbs but overall longer, consistently steep, with some mildly technical steps at the end. Goes around Sisters Waterfall (姐妹瀑布) and finishes at the spectacular Yunsen Waterfall (雲森瀑布). A few nice pools to play in. Popular area, don't expect to find solitude. Possible to extend into longer, more challenging trace/hike. I made a spreadsheet of the best river traces in northern Taiwan, check it out here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/15QNhE9z3lhwz33C6V4P11dljPzWafFGKowzTi9Wrkjg
