The river trace to Xiaoshihun Gorge (Little Lost Soul Gorge) was really fun. The creek offers numerous climbs, crystal-clear water, and a couple of natural slides. However, it is recommended for river tracers at an intermediate level or above. First Part: After walking upstream along the Linbian River for 40 minutes from the parking lot, the t ... ributary leading to Xiaoshihun Gorge emerged on the right side (facing downstream). As we advanced, the tributary grew narrower. Before long, the first 3-meter waterfall, the entrance to Xiaoshihun Gorge, welcomed us. Past it, a powerful flow of water surged out from a bend in the gorge. The rocks here were covered in a thick layer of moss, making climbing extremely challenging. Fortunately, I brought a scouring pad, which significantly improved our footholds. Unable to climb over the second waterfall, we chose to bypass it along with the following two waterfalls. We bushwhacked for a while before descending back to the creek. Second Part: Continuing upstream, we reached a small patch of land where we encountered an impassable waterfall. Bypassing it took us about 1.5 hours. Although we knew the trail was on the right side (facing downstream), there were no visible signs of human activity. We decided to take a chance and climb up, eventually finding some broken pipes. We bushwhacked further up and successfully bypassed the waterfall. Once back at the creek, we saw a waterfall that looked suitable for sliding. We pushed further upstream for another 30 minutes, tackling several climbs and passing a few waterfalls—some of which we slid down on our way back. Finally, we reached the end: a majestic main waterfall joined by an adjacent one, with its water fanning out like a delicate screen.

The Golden Waterfall of Laiyi is located right at the junction where a small tributary enters the main river. It can be easily spotted as you walk up the Linbian River. It is a short river trace that takes no more than an hour in total, making it a fine appetizer for larger routes such as Xiaoshihun Gorge or Jishan Waterfall. The initial section, ... which involves climbing up the main waterfall, is not difficult. Past this point, the creek narrows and the flow becomes slightly stronger, but it remained manageable during my visit. After a few short waterfall climbs, you will reach the final section, a 4-meter waterfall.

Start by following a short trail to the wonderful "Yunei Waterslide". This requires a short swim to access, but contains two slides and a huge pool. Beyond this, you'll find several smaller pools and falls along a relatively flat section. At a split, you'll find more nice pools. Going left (main stream) is unknown (probably flatter), whereas going r ... ight requires a short climb and then steeper tracing to an amazing waterfall grotto. Challenging and adventurous to get to the end, otherwise a very short trace. Super fun: absolutely packed with waterfalls, pools, and slides. Increases in difficulty quickly, with ropes beginning at the first of six major waterfalls. Very steep climbs on dubious ropes with loose rocks.
