This was a nice little spot. Sadly we didn't make it very far up. We got to a portion with a waterfall that used to have a rope to help get up that had been removed. As we didn't have one to put into its spot we had to turn around. First off from the GPS point take the path on your right-hand side. It will get you in the water. Go upstream. Really REALLY great place. We went during a drought when nothing else around had any water and it was still a good time. As such I imagine this is best done during the dry season. There were a couple of climbs that weren't all that easy. I ... managed them and I am no pro, but you'll want to have had a bit of experience scrambling around rocks without ropes to get past a couple of the falls. There are also a couple of sections where there will be ropes along the side up into the jungle and around a couple of obstacles so keep an eye out for those. Some cool caves that would make a great place for a tent can also be found for anyone into that sorta thing.

Really fun trace. Lots of nice deep pools to swim in and waterfalls to enjoy. You'll notice a fairly distinct branching of the river not long after you start. I suggest following the side branch (right-hand side) for a bit and hitting up the waterfall it has to offer. They the best ones you'll find. Once the terrian gets flat double back and head up ... the main branch towards the ending GPS location. You will be able to get out of the water there and walk back along the highway.

Amawan Waterfalls. Very beautiful! A natural bouldering gym. Emerald green deep pools. Quite a few waterfalls. The fifth waterfall is about 30M tall if I don't remember it wrong.

Fun and really gorgeous canyoning (river tracing) trip. The start is a little bit boring, you will park your bike near the GPS and find your way into the water and start walking upstream. There are plenty of small trails that allow for this, depending on how far back you start the first 300-500m might be a bit boring. It gets better quick though, y ... ou'll find a gorge to swim in and a wonderful natural waterslide. As hard as we tried it doesn't seem possible to hurt yourself on the slide so go ahead and have fun some. After the waterslide, you'll work your way up to some really nice areas till you reach the final waterfall which has a pool in front of it great for swimming and is quite the site its self. Fortunately, the whole thing doesn't take very long and is quite scenic as you will need to go back the way you came.
