This is a really cool little river trace close to Dulan. You can park at the starting GPS point and shouldn't have much of an issue finding your way in from there. A good portion of this river trace is inside of a fairly narrow canyon. The views are great and the trace is a lot of fun. There were a couple of areas where you would want to be a fairly ... confident climber, or have someone go up first with a rope. When we went the water was quite low as it was the dry season. It could be a whole different type of trace when it's wet.

Not a beginning route. Swift water crossing is foreseeable. Beigang River Hot Spring No.1 is a concrete hot spring pool. Every 5 years there is a construction in progress deep in the river, thus a construction road where you can walk to the hot spring easily for 2-3 hours. The other years you need to trace your way there because the construction roa ... d no longer exists due to typhoon.
Beginner-friendly. A creek where hot spring sources are everywhere. Beautiful colorful walls that are usually seen only in the gorges deep in mountains. A hot spring cave that can contain 6-8 people(38-39 degree Celcius).
